Electrodynamics of hyperbolically accelerated charges.
This is a project with professor Erik Eriksen at the Theory group,
Institute of Physics, University of Oslo.
We make a thorough investigation of the electromagnetic field of
charges moving rectilinearly with constant proper acceleration.We
calculate the distribution of energy and momentum of the field,
separate the field in a radiation part and a bound part and discuss
the radiation properties of the field. General relativistic aspects
connected with the principle of equivalence are also discussed. The
equation of motion producing the field is analyzed.
