Visiting the Sagåsen Quarry, Tvedalen, Spring 2005 - 3 pictures

I was born I 1943 in Langevåg, just south of Ålesund on the northwestern coast of Norway. I am now retired as a teacher (telecom. technology) at the Oslo University Collage.

I started to collect mineral specimens in the beginning of the 1970's. A few years later only micromounts in US size - aesthetic specimens only. At that time I was not interested in systematic collection, but today I also collect systematic even if the species is massive.
As a micromounter I indeed like to swap specimens (the reason for this site):

The tables and other data in this site are compiled from my database system. I use a minimum of graphic objects in this site to make the database querries as fast as possible.

The MinCol Clients and database tables

I very much like to swap microminerals with other collectors as you may see from the statistics above. I have many micro duplicates which I may swap for other micros.
I do no recording, visitor counts or making statistics on any kind of data from my visitors on this site
