UNIX and NT are two very different operating systems. Both in the way
they are used and how they work behind the scenes. We could not assume
that all of cfengine's functionality on UNIX would make sense on
NT. We had to do a comparison between the two platforms to see what
cfengine could not do or would have to do differently on NT. How NT
behaves will also be related to how good the porting layer we choose
is. We need to see how much UNIX functionality it can mimic.
